- What does MORE stand for?
MORE stands for “Mathematics – Opportunities in Research and Education”
- Where will MORE 2025 take place?
In Spring 2025, MORE will take place at Virginia Tech located in Blacksburg, Virginia.
- How do I apply for MORE 2025?
The application form can be found on the Application Page.
- How and when will I be notified if I am selected?
We will notify applicants via email no later than early March.
- What is my anticipated cost for the conference?
Thanks to generous support from the NSF, there is little to no cost to attend the fall conference.
For in-person participants, lodging will be provided and transportation costs (within guidelines) are reimbursable. Some food and refreshments will be provided.
- Is there a virtual option for attendance?
A virtual option is available to those unable to travel. Virtual participants will be able to attend lecture and panel events on the schedule only. An in-person organizer will coordinate participation of virtual participants. Financial support is not available for virtual participants.
- Can faculty members participate in the workshop?
Accompanying faculty are welcome and may attend the lectures and panel discussions. The remaining activities are designed for undergraduates only. Please contact us at MORE.math.opportunities@gmail.com if you plan to attend.
Unfortunately, we do not have funds to support faculty at this time. However, we appreciate if faculty members encourage interested undergraduate students to apply.
